First off, I have a confession, some of you might be thinking "Housewife Barbie? This girl is married?" my answer to that is no, NOT YET! I am a 20 year old blonde from a small town outside of Kansas City, Missouri. I am currently a Mizzou student where I study Sociology & Communications! People always say to me, "Julia! That looks so good! How do you do it? How do you find the time?" My answer is always the same. "I don't find time, it just doesn't take any extra time out of my day!" I'm telling you right now that a frozen pizza take about 18 minutes... my meals usually take around 15. No lie. My secret is finding the right ingredients for cheap and dolling them up with the right recipes! It's really that simple. The bottom line for me is this, I want to save money where I can and I want reasonably healthy and yummy home-cooked meals much like what I grew up on. I feel that if you can achieve both of those things, then you have done good for yourself and anyone else in your home. I am a firm believer in home-cooked meals bringing people & families closer, as stated before, I grew up in a household such as this and I believe that dinner time at home helped me build good solid relationships with my family and gave me a good sense of values. You don't have to agree on everything I say here, but I do hope that this blog is helpful to you and that you feel as accomplished as I do when I whip up a delicious dinner!
